Puppies Available!

I have been receiving lots of interest on our newest Happy Hound additions. Yes, we have had 7 mid sized Goldendoodle puppies! Many of you have been following along with the short videos, photos and your great comments on our Happy Hound dog training Facebook page.

There are 4 females & 3 males born on Feb 26th, 2015. These puppies would be available after Thurs. Apr 26 as then they are 8 weeks old. Please share with your friends as these puppies are raised with myself and I have already started the housetraining at 2 1/2 weeks of age. They are conditioned to the word “Yes” and respond to “Puppies Come”. They are very smart, healthy, home raised, hypoallergenic, socialized, love to snuggle, semi-trained puppies. What to Bring: A long lead, yummy treats and poop bags

Description: Walk a small secured field. Train at the barns while playing some Hide & Seek games. Then rotate through the doggie training stations including some basic agility equipment.

Training Tips - Barking

I have been seeing several clients with doggies recently who have decided to increase their Barking as the weather gets warmer and more people are walking about the neighbourhood. I would like to suggest to acknowledge the barking with getting up, looking out to check things then saying “Thank you, All Done”, then “Shush” as you walk away. As soon as they are quiet for 2 seconds then reward! Then lengthen the time between the silence to get more silence. To increase the time, reward the silence and tell them with your voice that they are wonderful. Take them out for a walk to get rid of any excessive energy. Then feed your doggies out of mentally challenged toys so that they can work for their dinner to tire them out mentally. Just like when you have been on your computer all day and you are mentally tired. It is the same kind of feeling. I feel that the mission of the day is how to burn the doggies out so that you can have some real snuggle time with them!
